A fair review – pros and cons
The location was perfect. with a room overlooking the canal, it was enchanting. Friendly staff provided excellent recommendations, and the breakfast featured abundant, high-quality options.
Street noise late at night was bothersome, and the room lacked adequate ventilation, making for uncomfortable conditions during my stay.

would come back for sure
The small double room we had was super spacious, with a lovely view of the canal. The bathroom was huge, with a bathtub that was great after a long day exploring. Breakfast was phenomenal—fresh pastries and a variety of cheeses. The staff was incredibly welcoming and even reserved a table at a lively local restaurant for us.

oh, where to start? the doors slam shut so loudly, waking me up every morning, and how nice of them to provide only two single beds instead of the lovely double i expected. not to mention, i was dying for a complimentary drink to appease my suffering. could have almost given a good review but just couldn’t, really.

The unique architectural charm of the hotel adds a cozy vibe, with lovely shared common areas perfect for unwinding. The free bicycles were a fantastic way to explore the city at our own pace. The scenic views along the canals enhanced our experience dramatically.
Our room on the ground floor left much to be desired, mainly because it was uncomfortably hot during our stay and had to keep the window open, which didn’t offer much privacy. The shower in our room was also lacking, with only a bathtub available, which was inconvenient for those preferring a proper shower. we noticed some outdated decor, which made the room feel plain despite the beautiful surroundings. The breakfast options were quite limited in terms of hot food. I expected more variety than just cold options. Finally, the noise from the lift and nearby rooms contributed to a less than peaceful night’s sleep.

A charming and cozy stay with a fantastic location just a five-minute walk from the main attractions. The room was impeccably clean and equipped with all necessary amenities, providing a great base for exploring the area. Exceptional service stood out, especially with helpful staff providing local recommendations and allowing secure parking for our motorbike. Breakfast was delightful, featuring fresh pastries and home-baked Alentejo bread—a perfect start to the day. the staircase was quite steep, making it a challenge with luggage.
